Pilot Club presentation
On Oct. 19, two Great Bend Pilot Club members, Janice Walker and Carol Hawk, present a Brain Minders talk to Preschool teacher Shelby Clantons class of 3 year olds. How to be safe on the playground, in the car and playing near the street were discussed using a variety of stuffed animals as examples. Children went home with a safety coloring book and crayons. Twenty Pilot Club members made eleven presentation in October at various preschools in Great Bend, reaching a total of 196 young children. The local service projects focus on care and prevention of brain-related disorders. Pilot Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at noon.
