Preceptor Pi makes plans for Sister Chapter Winter Fest

Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met on Jan. 8 at the home of Janis Link. Susan Coulson served as co-hostess. President Jeri Brozek led the meeting.
Social Chair Lois Johnson reported a change in plans for the Sister Chapter Social “Winter Fest” with Laureate Kappa. Instead of going to Mom’s Place in Seward, the two chapters will meet at First Christian Church at 6 p.m. on Jan. 15 for a meal to be catered by Bernard’s Catering.
The chapter made plans to donate $100 to the Cody Clark Fund in care of Landmark Bank.
Service Chair Judy Krebaum collected members’ monetary donations for the chapter’s service project to provide dog and cat food for the Humane Society. Some members also brought old rugs and blankets for the Humane Society.
Linda Jerke presented the Beta Brief from a December/January Torch article featuring chapters from other states who had carried out service projects to help the homeless.
Cindy Meitler presented a program on the designation of holidays. The next meeting of Preceptor Pi will be the Sister Chapter Social with Laureate Kappa at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 at First Christian Church.
