Progress Club

The Progress Club met on Jan. 2 at the home of Pat Halbower with Kathy Schugart as co-hostess. There were 17 members in attendance.
Curtis Wolf of the Wetlands Center gave an interesting program on Cheyenne Bottoms. He reminded us that the bottoms are the largest wetlands in the interior of the United States and that they are comprised of 41,000 acres. He then presented a slide show of the many birds that migrate there.
The next meeting will be held on Feb. 6 at the home of Kathy Schugart with Linda Dougherty as co-hostess. The program will be given by Darnell Holopirek of Barton County College.
