Progress Club met on Nov. 4, at the home of Pat Halbower with 18 members present. Jackie Curtis introduced Skip Yowell, co-founder of JanSport who presented our program. Skip is a 1964 graduate of Great Bend High School and a GBHS Hall of Fame member. He and his partner designed sportsgear such as packs and tents for mountain climbing and camping around the world. He gave a narrative of his travels and also of his work with youth and the underpriveleged.
The business meeting followed with roll call, reading of minutes and treasurer’s report. It was moved and seconded to once again donate to the Military Mom’s service project at our December meeting.  
The next meeting will be at 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 2, at the home of Judy Fox. Becky Dudrey and Sharon Jones will serve as co-hostesses
