Veterans donate to Quilts of Valor

On Dec. 18, veterans of VFW Post #3111 gave a donation of $1,000 to the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Representing the VFW are members, Dan Zimmerscheid, Ryan Van Pelt, and Larry Johnson. Accepting the check on behalf of Quilts of Valor Foundation are Sharon Royer, Otis and Sandra Vink, Great Bend. Each Quilt is handmade and over 30 quilts have been presented to veterans in the Barton County area.
