Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 and its Ladies Auxiliary met on March 27 at the Post Home.
Crystal Trout was accepted into membership.
The charter was draped in memory of auxiliary members Patricia M. Robl, Theda Debes and Bernita M. Schwartz.
Thelma Hipp, Americanism chairperson, reminded the members that Election Day is April 3. Contact other members and citizens to get out and vote. Know your candidates,volunteer to provide rides, take someone with you to the polls. Your vote is your voice in the affairs that affect your community. Be sure to fly your flag on Election Day.
The Seventh district VFW Post and Auxiliary convention will be held in Great Bend on April 22 hosted by Post 3111 and its Ladies Auxiliary.
The next meeting will be held on April 24 at the Post Home with election of officers for 2012-2013.
