The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 Ladies Auxiliary met on Nov. 19 at the post home.
The charter was draped in honor of Carla Yahne. Christmas presents will be taken to all veterans in the Great Bend nursing homes.
The auxiliary sponsored the following projects: Health and Happiness, Growing Dollar, National Military Service, Kansas Endowment Program, Kans for Kids for Camp Hope, the Great Bend Food Bank, Soup Kitchen, Cancer Aid and Research and Hunter Safety, totaling $1,040.
The next meeting will be held on Dec. 17 at the post Home, 504 Washington.
