At the recent Pilot Club meeting new club leaders were installed into office and another new member was initiated.

Daniel Watson was recognized with the Heart Award, at the Pilot International Heartland District convention last month for outstanding service and volunteer hours. This herald’s Daniel’s year as the Pilot Club of Great Bend’s incoming President for the new Pilot year beginning on July 1, 2023.  

Pilot International is a volunteer service organization offering its members vast opportunities to make a positive difference in their communities and globally as they build lasting friendships in their clubs. Pilot Club volunteers conduct programs, projects, fundraisers, and Caregiver “Pick Me Ups”, that include many areas of charitable service at the local level.

In addition, Pilot Clubs support the overall service focus of Pilot International: brain safety, brain research, and assistance to those with brain-related disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, chemical dependency, traumatic brain injuries, brain cancer, Autism and numerous other developmental, emotional and mental disabilities.

Local service projects have emphasis on Brain injury prevention and brain safety from giving away bike helmets as the “Helmet People” to hold autism workshops.  

Celia Wells was welcomed as the newest Pilot member.
