Clayton Davis

Student Library Assistant Madison Dombroski will focus on Ellinwood High School seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today we have two Senior Spotlights, Clayton Davis and Layton Wirtz.

Clayton Davis is a senior at EHS. His family is his Grandma Vickie. Clayton would recommend the book “The Blind,” because it was a good read. His favorite quote is “You never know what you have until it’s gone and you need it back.”

One thing that he thinks people would be surprised to know about him is he had a pet pig one time. He learned from other students that everyone has a different life, so don’t judge. Clayton’s plan after graduation is to get his CDL and Trucking for Old Dominion. We wish Clayton a great year in his senior chapter!

Layton Wirtz

Layton Wirtz is a senior at EHS. His family include his parents, Tyler and Tania, siblings are Lynlee, Liam, and Lawson. He would recommend the book “Kid Owner,” because the only books he likes to read are sports books. Layton’s favorite quote is “Sometimes it’s the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination,” by Drake.

His advice for incoming students is to enjoy it while it lasts. It goes by fast.

His favorite class is Rec Sports, because he likes the games that they play there. And his favorite teacher is Coach Nate because he joins in on the rec sports games with the class. We wish Layton a great year in his senior chapter!
