Walter and Joyce Disque of Claflin will celebrate their 60th anniversary on May 14 with a card shower.

Joyce Lindenmuth and Walter Disque were united in marriage on May 14, 1961, at the First United Methodist Church in Hoisington. Walter retired from farming after 60 years and was a school bus driver for USD 354 Claflin and USD 112 Central Plains for 40 years. Joyce went to Sydney’s Cosmetology School in Hutchinson, earned her license and had a beauty shop in her home for 30 years. She was also drove a school bus for 40 years for the same districts as Walter. The couple have three children, Mark (Kelly) Disque of Wylie, Texas, Doug (Jacquie) Disque of Great Bend and Sheri (Joey) Girard of Claflin; and seven grandchildren.
