Representing Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Susan Coulson, service chair, left, and Janis Link, president, right, present a monetary donation to Golden Plains Quilts of Valor represented by Amy Mellor and Judy Burnette. The mission of Quilts of Valor is to create and present comforting and healing Quilts of Valor to U.S. veterans who have been touched by war. The quilts are made by a small group of local women and quilted by Mellor. Golden Plains Quilts of Valor has presented 539 quilts to local veterans since it began in 2010.
