Monte and Jolene Albert announce the engagement of their daughter Kari Anne Albert, to Brant Neil Mellies, son of Dave and Lori Mellies.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Lakeside High School in Downs. In 2008, she graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She is employed by the Ness city USD 303 Recreation Commission as the assistant director.
The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Ness City High School. In 2005, he graduated from Manhattan Area Technical College with a degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology. He is employed at the family farm in Ness City.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 20 at St. John the Baptist Church in Beloit.
