Ricky and Cecilea Canady of Union City, Okla. announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Marie Canady to Wesley Allen Reed, son of Steven and Heather Reed of El Reno, Okla.  The bride-elect is the granddaughter to the late Robert and Mary Dyer. The prospective groom is the grandson of Jack Jenkins of Dodge City, Iris Jenkins of Great Bend, and the late Walter and Laura Reed.  
The bride-elect is a graduate of Union City High School. She is employed at Building Blocks Learning Center.  
The prospective groom is a graduate of El Reno High School. He is employed at Reeter Oilfield Services.
The wedding is planned for May 16, at Life Community Church in El Reno, Okla.
