Melissa Dawn Frick and Matthew Ray Brossard

Kent and Karen Frick, of rural Larned, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Dawn Frick of Topeka, to Matthew Ray Brossard of Topeka, son of Guy and Debbie Brossard of Corona, Calif. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Alma Frick and Mildred Fyler, both of Larned, the late Raymond Frick, and the late Carlton Fyler. Grandparents of the prospective groom are the late Raymond and Mildred Brossard of Riverside, Calif. and John Hermesch and the late Jackie Hermesch of Temecula, Calif.
The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Larned High School. In 2000, she graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bakery Science and Management, and in 2006 with a Masters of Agribusiness degree. She is senior project leader at Bimbo Bakeries USA in Topeka.
The prospective groom is a 1993 graduate of Eisenhower High School in Rialto, Calif. In 2001 he graduated from ITT Technical Institute in San Bernardino, Calif. with an Associates of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, and in 2003 from ITT Technical Institute in West Covina, Calif. with a Bachelors of Science degree in Automated Manufacturing Technology. He is a maintenance mechanic at Frito-Lay in Topeka.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 27, at the First United Methodist Church in Larned.
