Wayne and Karen Habiger of Bushton announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Habiger, to John Montgomery, son of Dan and Kristi Montgomery of Lees Summit, Mo. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Fred and Kate Feist of Ellinwood and Anna Lee Habiger of Bushton and the late Jerome Habiger. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Jack and Barbara Welch of Blue Springs, Mo. and Francis and Elsie Montgomery of St. Louis, Mo.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Quivira Heights High School. She graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She is employed by Walgreens as an assistant manager.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Derby High School. He graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and in 2008 with a Master’s in Business Administration. He is employed by Fort Hays State University as an instructor in the Leadership Studies Department.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 9 at St. Nicholas of Myra in Hays.
