Donna Funk announces the engagement of her daughter, Jamie Jacobsen, to Heath Buehler, son of Jere and Bonnie Buehler. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Jim Funk.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Otis-Bison High School. She graduated from Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, Calif. in 2006 with an associates degree in Criminal Justice. In 2008 she graduated from American Military University with a bachelors degree in Political Science and in 2009 with a masters degree in Public Administration and Human Resources. She is a Navy veteran serving in the Middle East for four years. She is employed by the USDA working for the Farm Service Agency.
The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Claflin High School. He attended North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit and is currently attending Coastline Community College pursuing a business degree. He is employed managing the couple’s ranch.
The wedding is planned for Dec. 11 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis.
