Michael and Kathleen Jilek of Wausau, Wis. announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Ann (Katy) to Matthew Allen Hertel, son of Gary and Diana Hertel of Great Bend.
The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Wausau West. She graduated in 2001 from the University of Minnesota. She is employed as a dental hygienist in Cottage Grove, Minn.
The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Great Bend High School. He graduated in 1996 from Barton Community College and in 1998 from McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minn. He is employed as manager at Music Go Round in Woodbury, Minn., and is a professional musician.
The wedding is planned for May 20 in Woodbury, Minn.
