Gary and Patricia Kirmer of Claflin announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Kirmer to Adam Niedens, son of Mike and Debbie Niedens of Great Bend. Grandparents of the couple are Ben Kirmer of Claflin and the late Shirla Kirmer,  the late John Roy and Mace Evans, the late Lyle and Joyce French, Fern Niedens of Great Bend, and L.D. and Cheryl Niedens of Garden City.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Claflin High School. She graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting.  She graduated in December 2012 from Oklahoma State University with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. She is currently a licensed and practicing CPA.
The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Great Bend High School. He graduated from Sterling College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Elementary Education. He is currently employed by the Lyons School District as a 4th grade teacher, and as a coach for baseball and basketball.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 22, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Claflin.
