Steven and Janet Polley of Great Bend announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah Liston, of McPherson to Andrew Betzen, of McPherson, son of John and Barbara Betzen of Wichita. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Kevin Liston.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Larned High School. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. She is currently working on her Master of Arts in Teaching degree. She is employed as a 2nd grade teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School in McPherson.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He is employed as a Validation Engineer at Pfizer in McPherson.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 5, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Wichita.
