Julie and Robert Peter of Ellinwood and Kevin and Candy McNorton of Troy announce the engagement of their daughter Kelli McNorton of Overland Park to Slayton Rouse of Overland Park, son of Calvin and Terri Rous of Hoisington.
The bride-elect is 2006 graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated in 2010 from Emporia State University with a degree in Communications.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Hoisington High School. He graduated in 2009 from Emporia State University with a degree in Health Promotions. He is employed  by Midtown Athletic Club in Overland Park as a personal trainer and fitness instructor.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 23 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Hoisington.
