Justin Langlois and Kasi Mead announce their engagement. Parents of the bride-elect are Scott and Johnnie Mead of Graham, Texas. Parents of the prospective groom are Jed and Sharon Langlois of Macksville. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Bert and Sue Newhall and Lonna Mead, all of Great Bend, and Jack and Tricia Joiner of Weatherford, Okla. Great-grandparents of the bride-elect are Darrell and Mary Lou Willeford of Springfield, Mo. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Jim and Judy Langlois of Spearville, Carol Newton of Antlers, Okla., and the late Ray and Verne Ulmer.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated in 2010 from Barton Community College and is currently attending Fort Hays State University, majoring in Radiology. She is employed at Mr. Burger in Great Bend.
The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of Macksville High School. He is employed with Barton County Feeders in Ellinwood.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 9 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend.
