J.J. and Tammy O’Connor of Smolan, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie O’Connor, of Salina, to Justin Malbrough, of Salina, son of  Marilyn Malbrough of Great Bend and the late Larry Malbrough.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Smoky Valley High School in Lindsborg. In 2006, she graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Apparel and Textile Marketing and Business Administration.  She is the marketing manager for CTI John Deere in Abilene, Concordia, Clay Center, and Wamego.
The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Great Bend High School. He studied Auto Technology at Barton Community College. He is a master Toyota technician at Conklin Cars in Salina.
The wedding is planned for November in Salina.
