Craig and Paula Robl of Ellinwood, and Larry and Waynette Stroda of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Shawna Robl to Matt Schafer, son of Todd and Suzanne Schafer of Belton, Mo. and Jim and Denise Klima of Claflin. Grandparents of the couple are Roy and Rosemary Robl of Ellinwood and Ted and Carolyn Schafer of Hutchinson.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Ellinwood High School. In 2011, she graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She is employed as a CPA by Adams, Brown, Beran, and Ball, Chtd. in Great Bend.
The prospective groom is a 2004 high school graduate of Barton County Academy in Great Bend. In 2009, he graduated from Johnson County Community College Electrical Vocational Technology Program in Overland Park. He is employed as an electrician for Jaguar Electric in Great Bend.
An October wedding is planned at St. Joseph Church in Ellinwood.
