Rick and Margaret Shaver of Salina, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Shaver to Kade Joseph Kirmer, son of Marvin and Bobette Kirmer of Claflin.
The bride-elect attended Ell-Saline High School in Brookville. She earned her Family Studies and Human Services degree from Kansas State University. She is employed as a children’s case manager at The Center for Counseling & Consultation in Great Bend.
The prospective groom attended Claflin High School. He earned his Business Finance degree from Emporia State University and also received his Natural Gas Technician certificate from Barton Community College. He is a self-employed oil well pumper in the Claflin area.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 1, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina.
