Sherry Suppes of LaCrosse and Patrick and Kathleen Suppes of Otis, announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Suppes, to John Hoverson, son of Dennis and Diane Myers of Wathena, and Raymond and Cindy Hoverson of Atchison. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Julius and Elsie Suppes of Otis, Ed and Velta Dreher of LaCrosse, and Merten and Mary Bevitt of Overland Park. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Elizabeth Hoverson of Troy, and the late Russell Hoverson, Adelaide Walters of Gravios Mills, Mo. and the late Fred Walters.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Otis-Bison High School and a 2005 graduate of Northeast Kansas Technical College with a degree in computer-aided drafting. She is employed by HDR Engineering in Kansas City, Mo.
The prospective-groom is a 2005 graduate of Troy High School, a 2007 graduate of Highland Community College with an Associate of Arts degree and an Associate of Science degree and earned certification as a whitetail pro-guide through the Colorado Adventure Guide School. He is employed by Johnson Controls in St. Joseph, Mo.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 23 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz.
