Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! We have gotten a ton of new movies and books this week and last, so if you haven’t been in for a while be sure to drop by and see what’s new.

Thursday will be our Online Teen Anime Night. Teens 13 and up can tune in to the Teen Spot Discord to watch an episode of a random anime with us! To join, use the code @gbmanga on remind.com or in the Remind app, or text it to 81010 (standard message rates apply). Once you’re in, send us a message with the words ‘anime night’ and we’ll get you set up from there. Join us before Thursday and you will get to vote on what we watch. 

This Thursday we will also have another installment of Delicious Dishes with Lisa. If you haven’t seen one of her cooking segments before on our Facebook, you’re missing out! Lisa picks fun and easy-to-learn recipes each week and shows you how to make them yourself, from porcupine meatballs to blueberry coffee cake to family-friendly sangrias. She posts a new video on our Facebook each week, and you can always find past videos on our website. Everything she makes is always delicious. Trust me, Thursday is always the best day of the week here, because we get to sample that week’s episode. This week was a lot of fun with a quite unusual twist in the recipe, so be sure not to miss it and tune in for this week’s episode.

This week we have Story Time in-person again at 10:30, which will continue through April before we take a short break in May to gear up for summer! Speaking of summer, as a reminder, it’s not too late to donate if you would like to be a part of helping our Summer Library Program be a success this year. Donations from local businesses and individuals are a huge part of what allows us to put on our spectacular summer programs each year for everyone. If you would like to donate, please contact us, and we would be happy to give you more information on how to do so. Thank you so much to those who have already donated!
