On Sunday, June 7, St. Mark Lutheran Church in Great Bend will say “Goodbye” to Pastor Adam Wutka and his family.
After more than 20 years of service at St. Mark, Pastor Adam has accepted a call to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Norwalk, Ohio. The public is invited to a reception to honor him. The reception will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the St. Mark Fellowship Hall at the church, 2101 Jackson St.
Pastor Adam has a long history of dedicated service both to his congregation and the wider community. His local involvement is extensive, serving four years as president of the Barton County Emergency Aid Board, co-leading an after-school Cub Scout program, and currently serving as Co-Community Leader for the TLC Twisters 4-H Club and as a member of the Barton County 4-H Council. Pastor Adam is also a regular presence at local senior living facilities, leading monthly worship services at Brookdale, Riverbend and Azria Health Woodhaven, and actively participates with the Barton County Association of Churches. Pastor Adam and his wife Aimee are the proud parents of four sons.
