Heartland Farm announces Labyrinth Celebration

Heartland Farm’s labyrinth is back to its full glory. Join the staff for the reopening of Heartland Farm’s prairie labyrinth on World Labyrinth Day, Saturday, May 2.

Participants will honor those who rehabilitated it and walk out to the trails to the labyrinth. The program at 10 a.m. will start at the pavilion, then people will walk out to the labyrinth for a short lesson on labyrinth-walking before they begin their own meditative journey. Renew and deepen your spirit as you walk the meditative labyrinth. For directions, see heartlandfarm-ks.org/contact-us/directions.

There will be limited transportation to the labyrinth from the pavilion for those who might need it.

The Farm’s unique-to-the-area labyrinth is based on the design of the 12th century Chartres Cathedral labyrinth in France.

Heartland Farm is an 80-acre farm located in the central plains crossroads of the United States. As a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, the Heartland Farm staff practice and promote stewardship of Earth and healthy living through ecologically sound agricultural and environmental practices. In addition, they engage in community collaboration through educational opportunities and offer retreat space for renewal of mind, body, and spirit.
