Jerry and Kayleen Kern celebrated their 59th anniversary on Aug. 7th.

Kayleen Hertel and Jerry Kern were united in marriage on Aug. 7, 1965 in Great Bend. They are both retired from USD 428 School District. The couple has three sons, Kevin (Kim) Kern of Olathe, Loren (Donna) Kern of Cave springs, Ark. and Brian (Dani) Kern of Lyons; five grandchildren, Chandler, Kylie, Taylor, Dalton and Jackson with a great-grandchild on the way.
