Chamber Music Concert at the Sandzen Gallery

LINDSBORG — Dr. Lillian Green will perform on viola at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, April 30, at the Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery, 401 North First Street in Lindsborg. The program will feature compositions by Bach, Paul Hindemith, Manuel de Falla and Nikolai Kapustin.
The recital concludes the gallery’s 2016-17 chamber music series.
The 2017-18 series will begin with the annual Jenny Lind concert on the June 11. Lillian Green is an assistant professor of music at Bethany College in Lindsborg. She performs frequently as a chamber player, orchestral musician and soloist in the central Kansas area and elsewhere around the country, and has played concerts across Europe and Southeast Asia.
Green earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Viola Performance and a Master’s degree in Music Theory Pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. Previously she earned degrees from West Virginia University and the University of Delaware.
She will receive piano accompaniment during her performance from Dan Masterson and James Miltenberger.
There is no charge for the concert. However, donations are appreciated.
