LUCAS — The Grassroots Art Center is hosting the Duke and Duchess Dog Day at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, in front of the Art Center, 213 S. Main Street in Lucas. All dogs are welcome on leashes with their owners to come and compete for prizes, including largest, smallest, best trick and best costume.
The dog show is a chance to view the Dogs to Dolls exhibit by LeAnn Doljac, currently on display at the Art Center, at no cost. Her ceramic dogs and sculptures made with dolls and doll parts is on display until April 15. Kids can make edible treats for their dogs and draw a picture of their dog on the sidewalk with chalk.
