SCARY TOWN If you were a child sometime between the early 90s until about now, then odds are you know what the Goosebumps series is.
Basically theres like a thousand books written for youth that are supposed to scare them and make them smile. Ill be honest; The Haunted Mask still messes with me because I remember it through the eyes of 10-year-old John. He was a bit of a coward.
Sony Pictures has decided to cash in on our childhood fears and made Goosebumps into a movie.
The first trailer for the aptly titled, Goosebumps, stars Jack Black as the book series author R.L. Stine and looks like it could be a lot of fun. Granted, many adults will probably find the trailer a bit ridiculous, but its not meant for them, its meant for 10-year-old John the coward and hes kind of looking forward to it.
The film looks like it will give a few chills to younger audiences, but it also appears to have plenty of laughs thanks to Jack Black and Dylan Minnette, who you may recognize from Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
Goosebumps is due in theaters on Oct. 16.
