MUSCLEGEDDON Maybe this wasn't your experience, but growing up there were a few things proved how strong you were in my neighborhood. One was if you could knock down local giant Matt Linnell playing tackle football; another was if you could hop a fence without struggling; and the last was how good you were at arm wrestling.

With that upbringing an idea has been burned into my mind: arm wrestling prowess equals strength. While a small part of that is true, this video proves that arm wrestling is a lot more than brute strength.

This short video shows arm wrestling champion Devon Larratt take on strongman competitor and actor Hafthor Bjornsson, aka The Mountain.

Bjornsson stands 6-foot-9 and weighs 419 pounds. Larratt is no slouch at 6-5 and weighing 225, but that's nearly 200 pounds that Bjornsson has on Larratt. For scale, that's nearly one metric John Clyde in weight difference.

Anyway, you think that it may be a tight competition as these two go at it, but you realize very quickly that Larratt is just toying with The Mountain and the behemoth never stood a chance.

What this teaches me is I'm not that strong and need to learn the secret behind arm wrestling.
