"Thor: Ragnarok," Marvel Studios best-reviewed film to date, marks a halfway point for Marvels third wave of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 3 began with 2016s "Captain America: Civil War" and will feature movies like "Black Panther," "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Captain Marvel," Marvels first female-led film.

Following "Thor: Ragnarok's" release, heres every upcoming Marvel movie currently scheduled for release in Phase 3, as well as a small glimpse at the MCUs future.

'Black Panther'

Release date: Feb. 16, 2018

Starring: Chadwick Boseman ("42," "Get on Up"), Michael B. Jordan ("Creed," "Fantastic Four") and Lupita Nyongo ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "The Jungle Book")

What its about: According to the films official synopsis, "Black Panther" follows TChalla (Boseman), who has returned to the secretive nation of Wakanda after the events of "Captain America: Civil War." Upon arriving home, TChalla finds his role as king challenged by enemies from within his own country. TChalla, as the Black Panther, must team up with a CIA agent and Wakandas special forces to prevent a world war.

Fun fact: Black Panther, created by comics legends Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first appeared in 1966 in Fantastic Four No. 52. TChalla is the first mainstream black superhero and joined the Avengers in 1968.

'Avengers: Infinity War'

Release date: May 4, 2018

Starring: Robert Downey Jr. ("Iron Man"), Josh Brolin ("Guardians of the Galaxy"), Mark Ruffalo ("Thor: Ragnarok"), Tom Hiddleston ("Thor"), Chris Evans ("Captain America: Civil War"), Chris Hemsworth ("Thor"), Jeremy Renner ("Captain America: Civil War"), Chris Pratt ("Guardians of the Galaxy") and Elizabeth Olsen ("Avengers: Age of Ultron")

What its about: According to Marvel, "Avengers: Infinity War" will see the Avengers face off against Thanos, an alien warlord attempting to collect the infinity stones, powerful artifacts with the ability to reshape reality.

Fun fact: "Avengers: Infinity War" will feature every Marvel Cinematic Universe hero, including the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man.

'Ant-Man & the Wasp'

Release date: July 6, 2018

Starring: Paul Rudd ("Ant-Man," "Anchorman"), Evangeline Lilly ("Lost"), Michael Douglas ("The Game"), Michelle Pfeiffer ("Hairspray") and Walton Goggins ("The Bourne Identity," "The Shield")

What its about: The sequel to 2015s "Ant-Man" follows Scott Lang (Rudd) as he teams up with the Wasp, Hope van Dyne (Lilly), to embark on a new mission.

Fun fact: "Ant-Man and the Wasp" will feature actress Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost and Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch. Both lesser-known characters originated in the comics as minor Iron Man enemies.

'Captain Marvel'

Release date: March 8, 2019

Starring: Brie Larson ("Room," "Kong: Skull Island")

What its about: According to Nerdist, "Captain Marvel" will reportedly feature Carol Danvers (Larson) teaming up with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to fight against the shape-shifting Skrulls in the 90s.

Fun Fact: Carol Danvers first appeared in 1967, can shoot energy blasts and has gone by the names Binary, Warbird and Ms. Marvel, according to Marvel. Recently, Danvers has passed the Ms. Marvel name on to Kamala Khan, a young superhero with the ability to manipulate her bodys shape and size.

'Avengers: Infinity War Part 2' (Working title)

Release date: May 3, 2019

What its about: We know very little about the fourth Avengers film beyond the confirmation that Joe and Anthony Russo ("Captain America: Civil War," "Avengers: Infinity War") will return to direct. Additionally, Disney announced the films title will be changed, according to Vanity Fair.

'Spider-Man: Homecoming 2'

Release date: July 5, 2019

Starring: Tom Holland ("Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Avengers: Infinity War")

What its about: The next Spider-Man film will kick off the MCUs Phase 4 and will follow Peter Parkers further adventures after Thanos invasion in "Avengers: Infinity War." According to Collider, Tom Holland is contractually obligated to appear in two more Spider-Man films, and another Marvel character will appear in some capacity, similar to Robert Downey Jr.s appearance in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Its possible more concrete details about the film will be released sometime in 2018.
