New hours coming next year

Greetings and Happy Friday from the Great Bend Public Library.
Today Friday, Dec. 16, is the Last Children’s Activity Day for the year. Visit our special Ginger Bread Story Time at 10 a.m. for kids between three years old to kindergarten. Come in and enjoy stories, holiday music, and make your very own gingerbread house. Children’s will also have a holiday party and movie at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Dec. 18 from 2:30 - 4 p.m., Mr. Hutchinson and Mr. Ramirez invite the public to the library for a reception celebrating the Great Bend High School Art Exhibition. Students’ art will be on display from Dec. 7 - Jan. 9.
Next week libary staff will wind down for the holidays and our break. On Monday, Dec 19 the Crochet Club is having a holiday party at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. for each class. There will be a special craft and participants will need to bring two or more skeins of bulky yarn and an extra skein of yarn for the yarn swap. On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. the teens will have a holiday party as well. On Thursday, Dec. 22, there will be a meeting of Magic the Gathering in the Main Conference Room at 5 p.m..
We will be closed for the Holiday on Saturday, Dec. 24, Sunday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Dec. 26.
Our hours are changing. Starting on Jan. 3, when we get back from the holiday break, our normal winter hours will be 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday –Thursday, 10a.m. - 5p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sundays. We have also changed when we move from winter to summer hours. Summer Hours will now run from May. 15 - Aug. 15. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call or come in. Enjoy your weekend and keep warm.
