New year, new hours, new classes start this week

Hello and Happy New Year from the Great Bend Library.
Just a reminder that we have changed our hours. We are now opening earlier. Monday-Thursday we are open from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.. For Friday-Saturday we are open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sunday we are open 1-5 p.m..
We are all fresh and relaxed from our long weekend and are gearing up for the year by starting up all of our regular classes again. On Monday Jan.9 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. the Crochet club will have it’s first class of the year.
At 4 p.m. Childrens will have Makerspace. On Tuesday, Jan. 10 Baby Classes start at 10 a.m., Children’s Class starts at 11 a.m., and at 3 p.m. there will be a Computer Basics Class open to everyone.
On Wednesday, Jan. 11 there will be a Teen Movie at 3:45 p.m.. On Thursday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. in our upstairs conference room there will be Magic The Gathering. At 5:30 p.m. in the Lower Level Meeting Room Donna Krug, family and consumer science agent with Barton County Extension will present “Saving Money When You Don’t Have a Dime to Spare”. At 6 p.m. there will be an Adult Night Out Craft Class and they will be making a Glitter Bowl.
On Friday, Jan. 13 there will be a children’s class at 10 a.m. and a children’s movie at 4 p.m..
The Crochet Club reminds the public it only has until Tuesday, Jan. 31 to make scarves, hats, and gloves for their Warmth for Winter drive. Members would appreciate any and all donations of handmade, store bought, or gently used scarves, hats, and gloves. Thank you to everyone who has participated thus far.
Finally, be sure to visit before Monday, Jan. 9, to admire and take a last look at The Great Bend High School Art Exhibition.
