The children of Jerry and Janice Mattocks request a card shower in celebration of their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary.

Jerry and Janice were married Feb. 22, 1969, at First Baptist Church in Cedar Vale. Following Jerry’s discharge from the United States Air Force, the couple lived in Wichita and Cedar Vale. Jerry was the postmaster and served as mayor while living in Cedar Vale. Janice worked in the office of Dr. Rosie Cohenberg. They moved their family to St. John in 1986 when Jerry became the postmaster. He retired in 2003. Janice worked for Farm Services Agency and retired in 2009. 

Jerry and Janice are members of Trinity Church in Hudson. Jerry is a member of the Lions Club and Janice is a member of the Friends of the Library. They also deliver Meals on Wheels. They are the parents of Beth Mattocks of Great Bend, Amy Engel of Lebo and Michelle Mattocks of Hutchinson and the grandparents of Pvt. Connor Engel of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Emma and Ian Engel of Lebo.
