Mike Murphy will celebrate his 90th birthday on Oct. 7 with a card shower.

Mike was born on Oct. 7, 1929 in Great Bend. He was a 1947 graduate of Great Bend High School. He graduated from Kansas State University in May 1951. On July 27, 1953 he was united in marriage to Rose Koester. Their family includes, Sheryl Gross, Jim (Loretta) Murphy, Marty (Kathy) Murphy, Kevin Murphy and Laura (John) Van Etton; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
