Norman Apel will celebrate his 90th birthday with a come-and-go reception from 9 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 23, 2019, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. in Great Bend. Hosts for the event will be his wife, Mary Bieberle-Apel, and children David Apel and Gerilyn Hoard of Salina, Amy Astrab of Derby and Briana Ernest of Great Bend.
