Travis and Ava North of McCracken, announce the engagement of their daughter, Breonna Lavon, to Jacob Adam Showalter, the son of Adam and Janice Showalter of Alexander. Breonna is the granddaughter of the late Paul North. Jacob is the grandson of Patricia Showalter of Bazine, Lee Showalter of Alexander, and the late Ervin and Helen Koerner.

The bride·elect is a graduate of Ellis High School. She graduated with her cosmetology degree from Hays Academy of Hair Design. She is currently employed at Country Hair Corner and Rush County Insurance, both of La Crosse.

The prospective groom is a graduate of La Crosse High School and attended Colby Community College. He is a farmer/rancher and is employed by Showalter and Sons. Inc. of Alexander.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 25, at the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis.
