Chelsie Rae Potter and Brandon Stephen Pechanec were united in marriage on Aug. 7, 2019, at St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore in a ceremony officiated by Father Jaime Zarse. The bride is the daughter of LeRoy and Debora Potter of Wetmore. The groom is the son of James and Karen Pechanec of Timken. Grandparents of the bride are Richard and Shirley Watkins of Soldier. Grandparents of the groom are Stephen C. and Margaret Pechanec of Timken and Marvin and Virginia Schneider of Rush Center.
Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a slim tulle gown with delicate clear beading on embroidered appliques with a long sheer train with a scalloped hemline over chantilly lace. Her veil was trimmed in clear jewels and she carried a bouquet of white roses and miniature carnations.
Matron of honor was Andrea Meggison, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dana Kramer, Alayna Noe, Taylor Fischer and Jordan Hasenkamp. They wore maroon chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of white roses.
Best man was Bradley Pechanec, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Alex Potter, brother of the bride, Zachary Stejskal, Trevor Keller and Devon King.
Flowergirls were Lillian Pechanec, daughter of the couple and Leyna Meggison, niece of the bride. The ring bearer was Colton Meggison, nephew of the bride.
Candlelighters were Kelsey Webs and Allie Jackson.
Ushers were Matthew Meggison, brother-in-law of the bride, Kade Hagans and Justus Bartonek.
The bride is a 2013 graduate of Wetmore High School and an 2018 graduate of Washburn University in Topeka with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is employed as a Registered Nurse at Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community in Manhattan.
The groom is a 2012 graduate of Otis-Bison High School, a 2014 graduate of Hutchinson Community College and a 2017 graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture with a minor in Agronomy. He is employed by Corteva in the Agricultural Research and Development Department in Wamego.
The couple resides in Manhattan.
