Preceptor Pi, Beta Sigma Phi, met on Nov. 2 at the Farmers Bank Meeting Room. Rosie Luthi read an article from The Torch about Valerie Miller, a member from Mississippi, who was chosen the Beta Sigma Phi International Valentine Queen posthumously for her love and admiration for sorority.
Service Chairman, Jeri Brozek, thanked members for providing fruit for students in USD 428.
Rosie Luthi presented a program on Tide detergent from its beginnings in 1930 to its upcoming trip to the International Space Station.
The second meeting in November was held on Nov. 16, in the parlor of the First United Methodist Church. Rosie Luthi read an article from The Torch about a North Carolina Chapter and their program on friendship.
The Service Chairman, Jeri Brozek, reported that names were selected from the Angel Tree at the American Legion to provide Christmas gifts for three veterans at Fort Dodge. Members provided fruit again for students in USD 428.
Brenda Black’s program was filled with strange and interesting facts about the U.S. Presidents.
The next meeting of Preceptor Pi will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the home of Rosie Luthi.
