Russell Community Theater announces its 2024 season. All productions will be at the RCT Playhouse, 5th and Kansas, Russell, with curtain time at 8 p.m. Season tickets are available by calling 785-483-4057 or emailing marketing@russelltheater.org.
The 2024 season will start off with the farcical “If the Shoe Fits,” by Matt Thomson, Matt Chiorini and Dana Vermette. A classic tale of boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love and want to live happily ever after. However, there is a husband in the way! Delores and George devise a plan to “get rid of” Marvin, Delores’ husband, but a comedy of errors keep foiling their attempts. Oh yeah, the eccentric maid gets in the way too, creating more laughs and increasing the failed attempts. Mark your calendars for April 16-20.
RCT’s summer production will be presented July 9-13 with the residents of Tuna, Texas, taking the stage in the third installment of the series “Red, White and Tuna” by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard. The 4th of July Tuna High School Reunion is the place to be with favorite characters returning along with some new residents and colorful antics. Don’t miss the hilarious, but oh so true account of life in a small town!
Closing out the 2024 season October 22-26, is a chilling story of a vampire and the man hunting him. Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” will be the perfect play to get into the Halloween spirit, if you dare!
