The P.A.R. and Sarah Boese Unruh annual reunion was held Nov. 7 at the Peking Garden Restaurant in Larned with 30 in attendance. Those attending were Mary Ann Mull, Dwayne and Janis Deckert, and Donald, Brenda, Julietha, Sarah and William Jones all of Great Bend; Arlene Reece, Kent and Annette Reece, Cory, Kylee and Owen Reece and Kelly, Ian and Ella Reece all of Burdett; Lyle and Teresa Reece of Rozel; Kevin, Marsha and Michael Reece, and Keith Mull all of Larned; Glenn and Elaine Mull of Pawnee Rock; Laramie and Michelle Unruh of Valley Center; and Vera Spencer, Lesli Peters and Brianna Peters of Wichita. The cousins reminisced and updated everyone about families.
After dinner several family members drove to the Pawnee Rock and Dundee homesteads of P.A.R. and Sarah Unruh. They also visited the Pawnee Rock, Mennonite and Dundee Valley Cemeteries, where several family members are buried.
Next year’s reunion will be on Nov. 6, 2011, in Newton. Dinner will be at the Breadbasket Restaurant, 219 North Main in North Newton. A visit to the Kaufman Museum will follow.
