The 2013 Reichel Reunion was held on July 14 at the Township Hall in Rush Center. Hosts for the reunion were descendants of George Sr. and Mary (Krug) Reichel. Informal snacks and conversation on July 13 at The Front Door in Great Bend, kicked off the family gathering.
The meal was hosted by the Neal Reichel family on Sunday and Neal asked the blessing. Special guests included cousins from Frankfurt, Germany, Andreas Batt and his daughter Kristina. Following lunch, Barbara Baus volunteered to organize the 2015 reunion. Contributions were
received to defray building and food expenses. Janet Williams sang two inspirational vocal solos, and selected several couples to participate in the Newlywed Game. LaVergne Parr was honored with a birthday cake for her upcoming 90th birthday. Her daughter Carolyn came from Turkey, where she is doing mission work, to help her mom celebrate.
The guests from Germany brought German candies to share with everyone.
