Ruth Peters celebrated her 99th birthday on Oct. 24. 

Ruth was born on Oct. 24, 1919.  

She spent most of her life being a house wife and help mate to her husband Ken for more than 70 years. She helped Ken with the farm and was the prime navigator in their plane when flying throughout North America. She and Ken were very involved in St John’s Lutheran church from where their social life and good friends evolved. The last several years she has lived with her daughter, Gayle, traveling between their house in Houston and their Kansas farm, and still walking one mile every day. 

She is still traveling the world. For the last few years she and her daughter have had the opportunity to travel the world from the North Cape, in Norway to Istanbul, Turkey to the spectacular fiords of New Zealand. Her favorite trips have been from Dubai to Rome through the Suez Canal with stops in Aqaba, Jordon, Egypt and Israel. She looks forward to many more years of exciting travel experiences.
