Dennis and Virjean Scheuerman (formerly of Otis) will celebrate their 50th anniversary on July 29. The couple were married at the Trinity

Lutheran Church in Otis. 

The couple lived in the Otis area most of their lives until November 2019 when they moved to Smithville, Mo., to be closer to their first grandchild Tillie. The couple have two children, Treva Deleon and her husband Ricardo from Kansas City, Mo., and Tate who lives in Lawrence. The couple also hosted five foreign exchange students from 1986-1992. Dennis and Virjean are both retired and keep busy now with volunteering at their church and in the community.

The couple now reside at 316 Prairie Rose Circle in Smithville, Mo., 64089.
