Seven Great Bend Middle School students have earned spots in the Kansas Music Educators Association’s District Honors Orchestra. GBMS Orchestra Director Aubrey Maneth said the students auditioned for the orchestra.

“On Saturday, Nov. 6, these students will be headed to Dodge City to perform with other middle school students across the southwest part of the state,” Maneth said. “It is always a huge honor to be selected for this group and we congratulate these students’ hard work toward becoming a better orchestral instrumentalist.

“We are so proud of you. Go Panthers!”

The students are: Roxana Rodriguez, sixth chair second violin; Ellie Damm, fourth chair first violin; Zachary Goodenough, fifth chair second violin; Kimmy Hofflinger, third chair viola; Yarlene Granados, fourteenth chair first violin; Natalia Loera, twelfth chair viola; and Ashlynn Pio, fourth chair second violin.
