Audrey Jo Sherman and Conner Richard Crumbliss were united in marriage on Oct. 20 at St.Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend in a double ring ceremony officiated by Father Reginald A. Urban. Parents of the couple are Don and Maxine Sherman and Jack and Jeri Crumbliss.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a soft, shimmering ivory satin A-line Maggie Sottero gown, with lace motif transitioning into a one shoulder gown. She wore a fingertip length veil with sequin trim and carried a bouquet of orange roses.
Matron of honor was Megan Fyler of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Natalie Villaflor of Kansas City and Kirsten Ford of Emporia. They wore pewter satin strapless gowns with a sweetheart neckline. They carried bouquets of orange roses.
Best man was Casey Crumbliss of Chicago, Ill., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Garrett Gillmore of Altus,
Okla., brother-in-law of the groom ,and Andrew Sherman of Destin, Fla., brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Cadence Gilmore of Altus, Okla. and Ella Crumbliss of Chicago, Ill., nieces of the groom. Ring bearers were Gunner Crumbliss of Altus, Okla. and Henry Crumbliss of Chicago, Ill., both are nephews of the groom.
Ushers were Tim Barger of Olathe, and Aaron Bucher and Jesse Dale both of Arkansas City.
Vocalist was Jim Maneth and organist was Joyce Haberman, both of Great Bend.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Great Bend High School and in 2008, graduated from Emporia State with a bachelor’s in Health Promotion. She is currently the manager of Emporia Fitness and also a personal trainer.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Arkansas City High School and completed four years at Emporia State. He is currently playing Minor League Baseball for the Oakland A’s.
After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Emporia.
