Sarah Christine Waite and Curtis Wade Snodgrass were united in marriage on April 28 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellinwood, in a double ring ceremony officiated by Father Charles Mazouch. Parents of the couple are Mel and Mary Waite of Ellinwood, and Roger and Lynda Snodgrass of Atwood.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a taffeta ball gown featuring a gently ruched bodice. The V-neckline was accented with silver embroidery and sparkling crystal details. Coordinating beaded embellishments highlighted the waistline. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Maid of honor was Angela Waite, sister of the bride, of Hays. Bridesmaids were Janelle Cumro and Kalyn Weaver, both of Manhattan, and Alicia Chavez of Topeka.
Best man was Trey Hilt of Prairie Village. Groomsmen were Jeff Horinek of Hays, Heath Klein of Atwood, and Deni Wieland of Fort Worth, Texas.
Ushers were David Waite of Bolivar, Mo. and Marc Waite of Ellinwood, brothers of the bride, Mike Hill of Lenexa, cousin of the groom, and Jeffrey Samson of Atwood.
Lectors were Katie Snodgrass of Colby, sister of the groom, and David and Marc Waite. Gift Bearers were Jean Scarfino of Ballwin, Mo. and Maurice Waite of Belleville, Godparents of the bride, and Cathy Japp, Aztec, N.M., aunt of the groom.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Ellinwood High School. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dietetics from Kansas State University in 2010.
The groom graduated from Atwood High School, class of 2004. He graduated from Colby Community College with an Associates of Science Degree, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2010.
The couple opened Snodgrass Family Chiropractic in Norman, Okla., in March of 2011. Sarah works as Curtis’ chiropractic assistant and office manager.
After a honeymoon trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Norman, Okla.
